The transformation of the Physical Education Center (PECK), located within the College Center building, includes renovation of the existing two-story, 30,500 SF Athletic Center as well as a two-story, 33,000 SF addition.
The existing gymnasium space will be converted to two floors, with new locker rooms on the first floor and multipurpose room above. The addition will include a new gym, accommodating 3,000 occupants, as well as training rooms, weight room, an e-gaming space, athletic offices, and a new entrance with ticket counter, concessions and award wall.
The expansion of the PECK will usher in new academic programs, including exercise science, physical education and expanded physical training. These new programs will bolster workforce within the County, providing students with the necessary skills to succeed.
