Currently in the design development phase, this project is the conversion and repurposing of existing Maintenance and Cogen buildings on campus to become the Red Hawk Athletic Center.
Formerly the first building held maintenance and housekeeping offices for campus, several workshops, warehouse and storage spaces, a paint shop, locker rooms for staff, as well as emergency management services garage bays. The building was earmarked as the new location for athletics and recruiting as
it is optimally located just beyond the end zone of the main events field. The building is situated such that access at-grade is available from both the front and rear of the building. The rear of the building addresses the field and adjoining grandstands. From the rear of the building, the football team will have direct access to the field from their new locker room, patrons can visit a new concession stand and event day restrooms, and EMS conveniently located for ease of access on event days.
