Laboratory Renovations at Rutger’s Clinical Academic Building Featured in Educational Interiors Showcase Honoring Nation’s Most Outstanding Learning Environments

DIGroup Architecture announces the design of the laboratory renovation of the Clinical Academic Building occupied by Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, was honored in American School & University® 2019 Educational Interiors Showcase. The annual competition honors excellence in educational interiors and facility planning for today’s most effective learning environments.

The seventh floor of the Clinical Academic Building was transformed through a gut renovation to offer a larger suite of clinical research space for the Department of Medicine. a vision of “Science on Display” was achieved by using an open and transparent design approach to visually pique curiosity and cultivate collaboration and improve the overall learning and research experience. The space features an energizing color palette and modern moveable furnishings that encourages
social connectivity.

 

This is the third honor bestowed upon this project, which also received a Citation of Excellence Award by Learning By Design magazine, as well as an “Honorable Mention” recognition in College Planning & Management magazine’s 2018 Education Design Showcase.
